Answer: Sleep

Clues: “Night” and “Rest”

A new study looked into “America’s preferred sleep temperature” and overall, the ideal temperature at sleep time is 67 degrees Fahrenheit.

They also broke it down by state.  The places that like it the coldest are primarily in Northern states. They’ve just grown accustomed to it, I guess.  Massachusetts likes it the most frigid, at just 63 degrees.

On the flipside, Hawaii likes it the warmest at 70 degrees.

The states that get the best sleep are:  Nevada, Indiana, Vermont, California, and South Dakota. The ones that get the worst are: Oklahoma, Idaho, Wyoming, Arkansas, and Wisconsin.

Women are more likely than men to report overheating at night. (And there’s some science behind that.)

22% of couples can’t agree on a bedroom temperature.

78% of Americans run a fan to keep cool at night, including 40% who do it year-round.
