Answer: Social Media Status
Clues: “Updating” and “Online”
Remember when everyone used to update their status on social media? Have you noticed how it’s taken a nosedive? A new survey from a privacy company found 55% of Americans say maintaining their social media presence now feels more like work instead of fun.
More than half say they’re posting less than they did five years ago and many are being much more selective about what they share.
The biggest reasons people are pulling back are: political arguments, endless doomscrolling and concerns about privacy.
The survey also found younger adults are feeling the pressure the most, with Gen Z most likely to say social media has become exhausting.
