ROCKONSIN is free to apply and is the only statewide garage band competition in the nation open only to 7th – 12th grade Wisconsin bands of any musical genre. From age eligibility to NO band application fees required to compete, there is plenty to look forward to this season.
10 BANDS WILL COMPETE
Ten 2024 ROCKONSIN State Finalist bands will compete on June 28 & June 29 and will be showcased on the Aurora Pavilion Stage at Summerfest – The World’s Largest Music Festival. Five bands each day (12:15PM – 2:45PM) will each perform a 20-minute set. All finalist bands will receive two Shure mics.
THE BIG GIG
The 2024 winning & runner-up bands will each be showcased with a prize-winning second 45-minute set at The Big Gig on the Aurora Pavilion Stage on July 6th. The top two bands will also receive recording time at Madison’s Blast House Studios. The winning band will also receive a Shure wireless vocal microphone system.
