Answer: In a city

Clues: “Residence” and “Urban”

study published in the National Library of Medicine showed that living in rural areas is much better for your mental health than living in a city.

The study revealed that city residents are 20% more likely to develop an anxiety disorder than those who live in rural areas and 40% more likely to develop a mood disorder.

According to experts, cities are just too stimulating.  All of the noise and stimulation keeps our mind in a constant state of fight or flight, which messes with our brain.  Over time, all that environmental stress makes it more likely for us to have mental health problems.

Another article pointed out that the environmental factors of mental illness might be just as prevalent or greater than the genetic factors.

Go to the place where you have the greatest peace of mind.  And stay there.
