An annual study for Labor Day has found that the “hardest-working states” in America are both Dakotas and Alaska. And the least hardest-working state is Michigan. Wisconsin is in the middle at 25.
The average in the U.S. was 1,805 hours last year. That’s more than people in Canada, Australia, Japan, or the U.K. But less than people in Colombia and Korea.
An annual study ranked all 50 states based on things like employment rates, hours worked, average commute, and how much free time people have in general.
