A poll looked at the most annoying things passengers do in cars. Here’s the Top 10:
1. Backseat driving. 42% said it’s one of the most annoying things you can do.
2. Leaving trash behind. They gave you a ride, don’t make them clean up after you.
3. Complaining about your driving.
4. Eating messy or smelly food.
5. Yelling “watch out” when nothing’s wrong.
6. Putting your feet up on the dashboard. 30% of people said they hate that.
7. Changing the radio station without asking. 29% said it’s infuriating.
8. Slamming the door too hard.
9. Yelling “brake” when you’re already braking.
10. Talking loudly on the phone.
A few more that made the Top 25: Being late for your pickup, telling them, “You could have made that light,” mentioning what the speed limit is and messing with the A/C.
Last stat: The poll found the average person can put up with an annoying passenger for 13 minutes and 12 seconds before telling them to shut up.
