Starting Sunday, “Forever” stamps will jump from 63 cents to 66 cents. It’s the second price jump this year, and the fifth since 2019.
The cost to send a postcard will also jump from 48 to 51 cents. Sending a letter overseas will now cost $1.50, up from $1.45.
They announced the latest price bumps in April, citing higher “operating expenses fueled by inflation.” It’s also part of their 10-year plan to increase revenue and stop operating at a loss.
USPS had a $1 billion net loss in the first quarter of 2023, which is actually better than the same time last year, when it was $1.5 billion.
