Answer: Your kids
Clues: “Rug” and “Rats”
A poll of parents with kids under 12 found “peak stress” hits three-and-a-half hours into traveling. One in eight said within the first hour.
Here are a few quick stats from the poll:
1. 60% said traveling with their kids is the most stressful part of the holidays.
2. The most stressful aspects are keeping them entertained, dealing with tantrums, finding bathrooms and hearing lines like, “Are we there yet?”
3. 28% of parents would rather listen to “Baby Shark” for the whole trip than travel with a screaming child. 13% would rather get a root canal.
4. The top strategies for dealing with a fussy kid are to give them unlimited screentime and bribe them with junk food.
