Answer: Looking for parking
Clues: “Search” and “Spot”
People complain about traffic and gas prices, but there’s a hidden “cost” of owning a vehicle: The time you waste looking for a place to park, which also wastes gas.
According to a new report, 66% of city drivers typically spend up to 15 minutes searching for a parking space.
Unfortunately, there aren’t simple solutions. 54% of city drivers say they’ve used rideshare or public transportation to avoid parking hassles.
85% of people say they’re open to paying a little extra for convenience, but only when there’s a clear benefit, like guaranteed parking or closer spaces.
And 52% of people would love it if cities invested more in modern parking technology, making it easier to see parking availability digitally, or to pre-book something ahead of time.
