The Milwaukee County Parks Traveling Beer Garden™ tour has two, simultaneously running, tours traveling throughout the Milwaukee County Park System thanks to the partnership with Sprecher Brewing Co., Inc.

Each of the stops on the 16-week tour features craft beer, gourmet sodas, Hard Root Beer, Hard Ginger Beer, and other refreshments from Sprecher Brewing. Enjoy LIVE music Wednesday-Saturday nights 5p-8p!

All revenue collected goes back into improving the parks across Milwaukee County.

Honor Celebration at Wisconsin Harley-Davidson

It’s an all day Honor Celebration at Wisconsin Harley-Davidson in Oconomowoc on Saturday, May 28th!

The day-long event is free and open to the public, beginning at 10am with a flag ceremony, color guard, war bird flyover and the national anthem performed by 7-year-old sensation Liamani Segura.

As part of the celebration, The Honor Ride is staged (beginning and ending at Wisconsin H-D) to include hundreds of motorcycles as well as JEEPs which will transport WWII and Korean War veterans who wish to participate in the ride to the Milwaukee War Memorial, where a wreath ceremony of remembrance will be held.

The day will culminate with an evening showing of “Honor Flight:  One Last Mission” on the big screen under the stars with some of the WWII Veterans from the movie in attendance.

Benefit for Firefighter Rudi Betancourt

In March of this year Firefighter Rudi Betancourt (Tina Walker’s son) was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As a probationary Firefighter  Rudi did not have a lot of sick time and being a young man Rudi didn’t have the funds to pay for all of the pending medical bills. Rudi has since started chemo therapy and is dealing with having cancer.

Come out and support Rudi and help raise funds so he and his family don’t have to worry about finances or him being away from work.

Heart of Canal Street applications now being accepted

For more than two decades, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s signature community program, Heart of Canal Street, has enhanced and improved the lives of children and their families in southeastern Wisconsin. Local charities once again have the opportunity to become part of this special tradition as applications for the 2016 program are now being accepted through Friday, June 17, 2016.

Since its inception in 1994, Heart of Canal Street has contributed nearly $16 million to hundreds of charities.

To be eligible, an organization must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, serve a primary client base of children younger than 18 years of age and be located within Milwaukee, Racine, Washington, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Sheboygan or Walworth counties.
